Christmas Slingshot

That's what I call the craziness that is running around like a chicken with its head cut off....being in the Christmas slingshot. This coming weekend pretty much starts that for me and my family here in Virginia. I'll be pretty much non-stop until New Year's.

I'm still trying to finish up some of my last minute shopping. I have one part left for J's gift. My two friends here. My grandparents. I have to actually pick up and pay for my bestie's gift. I always think I have less to do until I start making the list. Not good haha.

I hope everyone is keeping their heads on straight and enjoying this wonderful season of the year. Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season!

See ya soon,

Sarah

Well...Here goes nothing!

So, Welcome to the blog! This is a brand new experience for me, and one I'm not quite sure will be successful. There is so much going on right now in life that I feel like I need some way to keep in touch with everyone!

So Here Goes!

First, to explain the name!

I am a born and raised Southern girl! I love being a Southern belle! In the South the pineapple is a symbol of welcome and friendship. I've always loved that symbolism. As far as the Sparkly part goes, I love all things sparkly. From glitter, to jewelry, to Christmas lights. Adore it all. There is nothing that looks cuter in my minds eye than a glittery pineapple!

Second, a bit about me!

I'm Sarah. I'm one of those Southern girls who carries two middle names, has a twang to her speech, loves sweet tea, going barefoot in summer, and all things Lilly! I truly believe that saying, "God, sweet tea, and the SEC!" Roll Tide!

I just got engaged back in October, and I could not be more excited! He planned the PERFECT proposal! We prayed for our relationship then he got down on one knee and proposed! With my best friend and a photographer/videographer hiding in the trees! I can't wait to marry this man! We are in the throes of planning the wedding, and y'all planning a wedding is NOT for the faint of heart! But we are having so much fun planning it anyway!

I'm the doggy mommy to a West Highland Terrier named Max. I drove from Virginia to Alabama, and back, in one day to rescue him. He has been such a JOY to have in my life. He makes me laugh everyday somehow!

It is my hope that this blog always makes everyone feel welcomed. I will be posting life updates, wedding planning stuff, as well as recipes and some of my favorite things because, well, I love cooking and shopping. I hope you enjoy, and that we all become friends real soon!

I look forward to hearing from you all!

See ya soon,

Sarah
